In between bargaining cycles, SPFE members continue to discuss issues in Saint Paul Public Schools with the district in formal, public meetings through our Professional Issues Committees (PICs). The goal of the monthly meetings is to address issues that arise in between bargaining cycles or are not resolved during the contract campaign. A Special Education PIC and an ELL PIC meet monthly, as well.
PIC Meetings are held at SPFE’s offices (23 Empire Dr) on Thursday evenings. Meetings run from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and are open to the public. All members are encouraged to attend a pre-meeting beginning at 4:30pm and stay for a debrief that ends at 7:30pm.
